Like many of you, I have spent the better part of my days listening, observing, reading and donating. The continued racial disparities and injustice have many of us looking for different lanes in which we can help the Black community. On top of doing the above, I decided to do some research- this is by no means exhaustive, but I hope it’s a good jumping off point for most of us. I decided to pull a list of resources from as many collectives as I could find to help support creatives, artists, designers, charities, and organizations. Many of these artists, creatives, and designers are grossly underrepresented in the Black community (let’s face it, everywhere). The resources, podcasts and books are sources that I have subscribed to based on what I have found to personally be the most helpful. Basically, it’s like this, I’ve created this post as a way to get one started to do THE WORK. This is a marathon, not a sprint. This is not a fad, it’s a movement and it’s here to stay. It’s up to those of us who have had the privilege of the White community to educate ourselves, support and lift up the Black community. With all this being said, I hope that this list truly helps all of you who land here and inspires you to support some of these beautiful artisans, educators, and inspiration leaders.
